Remarkable destruction of a 100x objective

The wide field imaging system for histology and fluorescence was found with a broken Olympus 100x lens last week. It must have been a terrible noise to crack the top lens, please come forward if this happened during your session, we can offer mental support. We would like to prevent this so please let us know how it happened so we can take actions to protect our valuable items.
